Sinekatalog’s take

Kaneto Shindo's horror tale has a mother and daughter-in-law, raped and killed by soldiers, return as vengeful demon cats. Nobuko Otowa and Kiwako Taichi are chilling in a stylish, eerie and poetic ghost story of black-and-white beauty.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
