Plot

A shoeshiner in Le Havre hides a young African migrant.

Sinekatalog’s take

Aki Kaurismäki's gentle fable about a shoeshiner sheltering a young migrant is dry, kind and quietly political. Its small-town solidarity is moving, and the deadpan style makes hope feel earned.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
