Plot
A childless couple treat a tree stump as their baby, and it comes to life with a hunger that is never satisfied.
Sinekatalog’s take
Jan Švankmajer's surreal fable has a childless couple adopting a living tree stump with a monstrous appetite. Funny, grotesque and sharp, it blends stop-motion with Czech folklore for a deliciously dark satire.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
