Sinekatalog’s take

Gus Van Sant's black-and-white debut follows a Portland store clerk infatuated with a Mexican immigrant. Raw, tender and low-budget, it is a lyrical, daring and honest early work of queer American indie cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
