Plot
Wendy, a young woman driving to Alaska to look for work, stops in a small town in Oregon, where her car breaks down and her dog, Lucy, goes missing. With almost no money, she searches for her dog and struggles to survive. Kelly Reichardt's 2008 film, with Michelle Williams, is a quiet and moving portrait of poverty in America.
Sinekatalog’s take
Kelly Reichardt's spare drama follows a drifter searching for her lost dog in an Oregon town. Michelle Williams is quietly superb, and this small, empathetic film captures poverty with devastating restraint.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
