Sinekatalog’s take
Ousmane Sembène's comedy follows a Dakar man who receives a money order from Paris and is cheated by bureaucrats and relatives trying to cash it. Funny and bitter, it is a sharp, classic satire of postcolonial Senegal.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
