Plot

Two old friends meet for dinner in a New York restaurant and talk about life, theatre and meaning. The film is almost all conversation.

Sinekatalog’s take

Louis Malle's film of two friends talking over dinner is somehow riveting. Wallace Shawn and André Gregory trade stories about life and meaning, and the film proves conversation can be cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
