Plot

Over five days in Nashville, two dozen characters connected to the country music business, among them stars, hopefuls, a political campaign and a visiting reporter, move through the city as a presidential candidate's rally approaches. Their stories cross and overlap, building towards a shocking finale. Robert Altman's 1975 film, with overlapping dialogue and a huge ensemble, is a satirical portrait of America in the post-Watergate years.

Sinekatalog’s take

Robert Altman's sprawling ensemble epic turns a country music town into a portrait of America. Overlapping dialogue, songs and satire make it a landmark, and its finale is haunting.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
