A friendship between a Chinese pedlar and a Bengali woman.
Sinekatalog’s take
Mrinal Sen's drama follows a friendship between a Chinese pedlar and a Bengali woman in 1930s Calcutta, amid the freedom movement. Tender and political, it was banned briefly and is a warm, early landmark of his career.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
