Sinekatalog’s take

Zhang Yimou's simple, touching drama follows a 13-year-old substitute teacher seeking a lost pupil. Played by non-professionals, it is a warm, humane and quietly powerful portrait of rural China's struggle for education.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
