Sinekatalog’s take

David Lean's 1948 Dickens adaptation is a gothic, shadowy classic. Alec Guinness's Fagin was controversial for its caricature, but the film's London atmosphere and craft remain superb.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
