Sinekatalog’s take

Pedro Almodóvar's drama of two mothers is saturated, tender and politically alert. Penélope Cruz is superb, and the film connects a private story to Spain's buried history with emotional force.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
