Sinekatalog’s take
Nicholas Ray's colourful gangster melodrama has a crooked lawyer and a dancer falling in love in 1930s Chicago. Robert Taylor and Cyd Charisse are stylish, and the film's lurid colours and dance numbers make a heightened, pulpy delight.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
