Plot
A day in the lives of ordinary Havana residents, told without dialogue. We follow a doctor who dances at night as a clown, an old man who lives with his dog, a boy who dreams of being a ballet dancer, and others as they go about their routines, wake, work and sleep. Fernando Pérez's 2003 film is a poetic, moving portrait of the city, accompanied by Cuban music.
Sinekatalog’s take
Fernando Pérez's dialogue-free documentary follows a day in the lives of Havana residents, from a doctor who clowns at night to a boy who dreams of ballet. Tender and rhythmic, it is a quietly moving mosaic of dignity and hardship.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
