Sinekatalog’s take
Adoor Gopalakrishnan's debut follows a young couple who elope and face hardship and disillusion in Kerala. Madhu and Sharada are fine in a quiet, realistic film that won National Awards for best film and director and launched Malayalam art cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
