Sinekatalog’s take
Govind Nihalani's drama, from Bhisham Sahni's novel, shows the horror of Partition-era communal violence as a few agitators set a town ablaze. Om Puri leads a harrowing, humane and unflinching film that won the Nargis Dutt Award for national integration.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
