Plot
A college professor's family struggles on a meagre income, and the story examines the financial pressures on teachers and the choices they face. It is often considered her finest work.
Sinekatalog’s take
Lois Weber's silent drama shows a professor's family struggling on a meagre salary among wealthier neighbours. Claire Windsor and Louis Calhern star in a humane, finely observed and often called finest look at class and the undervaluing of teachers.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
