Sinekatalog’s take
Satyajit Ray's historical satire has two Lucknow nobles obsessed with chess while the British annex their kingdom. Witty, elegant and sharp, with Sanjeev Kumar and Saeed Jaffrey, it is a sly comedy of decadence and conquest.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
