Sinekatalog’s take

Spielberg adapts Alice Walker's novel about Celie, a Black woman in early 20th-century Georgia. Whoopi Goldberg is powerful, and the film is emotional and sometimes soft around the book's harder edges.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
