Sinekatalog’s take
Georges Méliès's 1896 short has a devil conjure bats, ghosts and a witch until a knight with a cross dispels them. Brief and playful, built on his stop-trick effects, it is often called the first horror film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
