Shakespeare's story of Shylock the moneylender and the merchant Antonio, who stakes a pound of flesh on a loan.
Sinekatalog’s take
Michael Radford's Shakespeare adaptation is lavish and serious, with Al Pacino giving Shylock dignity and pain. Handsomely staged, it is a thoughtful take on a difficult play.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
