Sinekatalog’s take

Satyajit Ray's elegiac drama follows a decaying landowner squandering his fortune on music. Chhabi Biswas is magnificent, and the film's sound and candlelit imagery make a haunting portrait of a vanishing aristocracy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
