Plot
Two neighbours in Romania go treasure-hunting in a garden, using a metal detector, after one of them hears that his grandfather buried something.
Sinekatalog’s take
Corneliu Porumboiu's deadpan comedy sends two Romanian neighbours digging a garden for a grandfather's supposed treasure. Dry, slow and absurd, with a quietly hopeful twist, it is a witty parable on history and greed.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
