Plot
A shy and overweight Belgrade boy in the 1950s, Zoran, adores Marshal Tito, and writes an essay that wins him a school trip retracing Tito's route as a young man. He experiences the political and personal realities of the time, in a comedy about hero worship. Goran Marković's 1992 film is a humorous and affectionate look at the cult of personality in socialist Yugoslavia.
Sinekatalog’s take
Goran Marković's comedy follows a shy Belgrade boy who adores Marshal Tito and wins a trip along the leader's route. Warm, funny and sharp, it gently mocks the cult of personality while remembering childhood fondly.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
