Plot
Three generations of two feuding families in the Basque Country, from the Carlist War in 1875 to the Spanish Civil War, are observed by cows.
Sinekatalog’s take
Julio Medem's dreamlike saga tracks two feuding Basque families across fifty years of war, with cows as silent witnesses. Lush and mysterious, with Carmelo Gómez and Emma Suárez, it is a dazzling, formally inventive debut.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
