Plot
Mitsuha, a girl in a rural town, and Taki, a boy in Tokyo, find themselves switching bodies in their dreams. As they communicate through notes and phone messages, they begin to fall for each other, until the swaps stop. They try to find each other, and a link to an approaching comet. Makoto Shinkai's 2016 animation became the highest-grossing anime film of all time by 2019.
