Born in Lesotho in 1980, Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese is a writer and director who has also worked in Berlin. His shorts and documentaries, such as Mother, I Am Suffocating. This Is My Last Film About You (2019), make a personal and poetic exploration of Lesotho's history and land. His first fiction feature, This Is Not a Burial, It's a Resurrection (2019), about an old widow who resists a dam that would flood her village's graveyard, premiered at Sundance, where it won a special jury prize for visionary film-making, and was Lesotho's first Oscar entry.
