The closing of a factory in Chengdu.
Sinekatalog’s take
Jia Zhangke's hybrid film marks the closing of a Chengdu factory with interviews, some staged and some real, including Joan Chen. Elegiac and quietly inventive, it is a moving blend of documentary and fiction about workers and memory.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
