Sinekatalog’s take
Jean Vigo's silent documentary contrasts the idle rich of Nice with the working poor in satirical, lyrical montage. Witty, sharp and ahead of its time, with Boris Kaufman's photography, it is a landmark of poetic social cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
