Sinekatalog’s take
Sergei Parajanov's early short adapts a Moldavian fairy tale about a shepherd boy who fights an evil spirit with his flute. Conventional and sweet, with only hints of his later visual imagination, it is a gentle, minor work.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
