Sinekatalog’s take
Julien Duvivier's 1948 version of Tolstoy stars Vivien Leigh as the doomed heroine opposite Ralph Richardson. Handsome and well-acted, with Leigh moving, it is a respectable but somewhat subdued retelling.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
