Sinekatalog’s take
Shyam Benegal's drama, based on a Marathi actress's memoirs, follows a film star's search for love and independence through several relationships. Smita Patil is superb in a rich, sympathetic portrait of a woman's struggle for selfhood.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
