Plot

Riggan Thomson, an actor once famous for playing the superhero Birdman, tries to restore his career and credibility by writing, directing and starring in a Broadway play. As the opening approaches, his mind starts to unravel, and he battles his ego, a difficult co-star and his daughter. Alejandro G. Iñárritu's 2014 film, designed to look like one continuous shot, won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
