Sinekatalog’s take
Erich von Stroheim's directing debut has a seductive Austrian lieutenant wooing an American doctor's wife in the Dolomites. Stroheim's cynical swagger and the mountains give it flair in a glossy and sinister early melodrama.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
