Sinekatalog’s take
Fernando Meirelles's adaptation of Saramago's novel imagines a plague of blindness and collapsing society. It is bleak and visually striking, though its harshness and allegory can feel heavy-handed.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
