Sinekatalog’s take
Ann Hui's drama follows a Japanese photojournalist in postwar Vietnam who witnesses oppression and the desperate flight of refugees. Gritty and moving, it is a landmark of Hong Kong New Wave and a powerful humanist plea.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
