Sinekatalog’s take

Ann Hui's semi-autobiographical drama has a young woman return to Japan with her mother and revisit their painful, loving relationship. Maggie Cheung is exquisite in a sensitive, understated portrait of memory and cultural belonging.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
