Sinekatalog’s take
Pedro Costa's drama follows a young father who abandons his baby in Lisbon's Fontainhas slum, as a cleaner and a mother struggle to survive. Hushed, slow and painterly, with non-professional actors, it is a haunting, hypnotic portrait of poverty.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
