Plot
In Berlin in 1931, as the Nazis gain power, the English student Brian Roberts rents a room and befriends Sally Bowles, an American singer at the seedy Kit Kat Club. Their relationship develops into a triangle with a wealthy baron, while outside the club, the political climate becomes more sinister. Bob Fosse's 1972 musical, with Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey, won eight Academy Awards.
Sinekatalog’s take
Bob Fosse's musical is set in a Berlin nightclub as the Nazis rise. Liza Minnelli is electric, and the numbers comment sharply on the decadence and danger outside the club.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
