A film in competition at Berlin.

Sinekatalog’s take

Brillante Mendoza's hostage drama dramatises the real 2001 kidnapping of tourists and missionaries by Abu Sayyaf in the Philippines. Isabelle Huppert is committed, but the long, gruelling jungle ordeal feels punishing and repetitive.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
