Sinekatalog’s take

Héctor Babenco's drama set in a São Paulo prison is humane, vivid and tough. Its portraits of inmates build toward a harrowing massacre, in a film that is angry but never sensationalist.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
