Plot
Jasna, a teenage girl in a Belgrade housing estate, films herself and her friends on her phone, and looks for love and acceptance. Her life with her sick father and distant mother and her relationship with a boy are shown in a raw and explicit style. Maja Miloš's 2012 film, which won the Golden Tiger at Rotterdam, is a controversial portrait of youth in the digital age.
Sinekatalog’s take
Maja Miloš's debut follows a Belgrade teenager filming her life as she craves love. Raw, explicit and phone-shot, it provoked debate, with a brave lead and an unsparing look at neglect and youth culture.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
