Sinekatalog’s take
Aki Kaurismäki's first feature moves Dostoevsky's novel to modern Helsinki. Dry, stark and deadpan, with Markku Toikka, it is a minimalist, wry adaptation that already shows the director's offbeat, melancholic style.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
