Sinekatalog’s take
Mrinal Sen's drama follows a Calcutta family and neighbours as a young working woman fails to come home one night, exposing prejudices and fears. Mamata Shankar is outstanding in a sharp, humane film about gender and middle-class hypocrisy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
