Plot

In Paris, a set of objects, among them a porcelain service, a painting and a gun, pass from hand to hand through a group of eccentric residents, thieves, lovers and neighbours. The stories overlap in a loose, comic web where chance links people across social classes. Otar Iosseliani's 1984 film, made in France, is a gentle, witty ensemble piece that won the Special Jury Prize at Venice and displays his love of disorder.
