Plot
A geisha house in decline.
Sinekatalog’s take
Mikio Naruse's drama watches a declining geisha house through the eyes of a new maid, with Kinuyo Tanaka, Isuzu Yamada and Hideko Takamine. Subtle, melancholy and beautifully acted, it is a graceful elegy for a vanishing world.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
