Sinekatalog’s take
Mikio Naruse's quiet drama follows a young Osaka wife disappointed by her dull marriage who visits her Tokyo family. Setsuko Hara is excellent in a subtle, gently ironic study of domestic disillusion that sets Naruse's tone.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
