Sinekatalog’s take

Mikio Naruse's quiet drama follows a woman's tender bond with her father-in-law as her husband's affair strains the home. Setsuko Hara is lovely in a restrained, subtle and moving family study.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
