Sinekatalog’s take
Shohei Imamura's drama follows a poor farm girl through factory work and prostitution over decades in Japan. Sachiko Hidari is magnificent in a frank, earthy and unflinching chronicle of survival.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
