Sinekatalog’s take
Shohei Imamura's comic crime drama follows petty gangsters and a girlfriend trying to survive in a port town near a US naval base. Rowdy, lively and satirical, it is an energetic portrait of postwar Japan's underside.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
